Does it make any difference? Can you really claim that by using the word Christmas you are bringing out the true essence of the word? I will admit that I routinely feel offended when I see the word XMAS written in huge letters anywhere but if I am honest with myself I don't think writing the word out or abbreviating it makes any difference in the Christmas spirit that I feel.
